How the hardware works
Tap4Power connects a dedicated site controller to your lights or powered equipment. Visitors use the website; the controller performs the switching and keeps the automatic shutoff running locally.

The complete path
The public website never talks directly to the controller. Tap4Power validates the request, records the session and sends only the required command through the secure site connection.
Scans the QR code and selects access
Confirms the session and permissions
Carries the approved command outbound
Switches the equipment and starts its timer
Ends access even if internet is interrupted
Connectivity choices
We choose the connection method around the site, coverage and how independent you want the system to be.
Option one
Connect through an approved Ethernet or Wi-Fi service already available at the school, club or facility.
Option two
We provide a dedicated modem and IoT SIM where using the organisation's network is unsuitable or unavailable.
Safety and security
The controller initiates secure outbound communications. Customer phones never receive equipment passwords, and the automatic off command is stored locally before access begins.
Final mains wiring and electrical protection are completed or approved by an appropriately licensed electrician.
